1. Copyright responsibility

ThreadsBuddy does not grant users ownership of, or rights to, any content obtained through the service.

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in content remain with their respective owners.

Users must only use ThreadsBuddy for content that:

• They own;
• They have permission from the copyright owner to use;
• Is licensed for the intended use;
• Is in the public domain; or
• May otherwise legally be used under applicable law.

ThreadsBuddy must not be used to intentionally infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of another person or organization.

2. Copyright infringement notices

If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of a copyright owner, and believe that copyrighted material is being infringed in connection with ThreadsBuddy, you may submit a copyright infringement notice to us.

Your notice should include:

• Your full name and contact information, including an email address and, where appropriate, mailing address and telephone number.
• Identification of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are involved, you may provide a representative list.
• Identification of the material or activity you believe is infringing, together with sufficient information for us to identify and investigate it. Please include the relevant Threads URL and any relevant ThreadsBuddy URL or other identifying information, where available.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information provided in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

3. Our response to copyright complaints

When ThreadsBuddy receives a sufficiently detailed and valid copyright complaint, we may investigate the matter and take appropriate action where technically and legally applicable.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include restricting access to certain functionality, disabling access associated with specific material or URLs, preventing certain content from being processed, or taking other reasonable measures.

ThreadsBuddy reserves the right to request additional information when necessary to properly evaluate a copyright complaint.

4. Content hosted on third-party platforms

ThreadsBuddy is intended to work with content made available through third-party services such as Threads.

If the material you are reporting is hosted directly on Threads or another third-party platform, ThreadsBuddy may not have the technical ability or authority to remove the original material from that platform.

In such cases, copyright owners should also consider submitting an infringement request directly to the platform hosting the original content.

A restriction imposed by ThreadsBuddy does not necessarily remove the original content from Threads or any other third-party service.

5. Counter-notification

If content or access associated with you has been restricted as a result of a copyright complaint and you believe the restriction occurred because of a mistake or misidentification, you may contact us at: threadsbuddy1@gmail.com

Your counter-notification should contain sufficient information for us to identify the matter, explain why you believe the complaint was made in error, and include any information required under applicable copyright law.

Where the DMCA applies, additional information may be required before a counter-notification can be processed.

6. Repeat infringement

ThreadsBuddy may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the service for users who repeatedly or intentionally misuse ThreadsBuddy to infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights.

We may also take reasonable measures designed to prevent repeated abuse of the service.

7. Misrepresentation

Please do not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent copyright complaints.

Under applicable law, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a person who knowingly makes material misrepresentations regarding alleged infringement or removal of material may be responsible for resulting damages, costs, or other legal consequences.

8. No ownership of third-party content

ThreadsBuddy does not claim ownership of third-party videos, photographs, images, text, profile pictures, trademarks, or other content accessible through supported third-party services.

All trademarks, service marks, brand names, content, and intellectual property belong to their respective owners.

ThreadsBuddy is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially associated with Threads, Meta Platforms, Inc., or their affiliates unless expressly stated otherwise.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this DMCA & Copyright Policy periodically to reflect changes to our service, legal requirements, or copyright-handling procedures.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
