How to download Threads media on Android
Android makes saving media straightforward: downloads go to your Downloads folder and show up in the Gallery automatically. The steps below work in Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, and other modern browsers.
- In the Threads app or your browser, open the post, tap the menu or share icon, and choose Copy link.
- Return to this page, paste the link into the box above, and tap the button to load the media.
- Tap Download on the file you want. Your browser saves it to the Downloads folder.
- Open your Gallery or Google Photos to find the video or image — or browse to it in the Files app under Downloads.
Saving full-resolution photos
For image posts, the tool lists every photo in a carousel separately, so you can download each one at full size rather than screenshotting. That keeps the original quality intact for wallpapers, edits, or reposting with permission.
Troubleshooting on Android
- Only public posts work — private or login-gated media cannot be reached.
- If a download stalls, check your connection and try again from the post's share link.
- Allow your browser's save-file permission if it asks the first time.
- Look in the Files app's Downloads folder if a file has not appeared in Gallery yet.
